I have been drawing, painting and animating since I was
a kid. Bewitched by the adventurous worlds of comic
books, anime series, video-games and movies, I have
always been eager to express my own ideas. After my
parents finally bought me a computer, I started experi-
menting with digital media as well. When I started my degree in commu-
nication design, my studies became more and more interdisciplinary.
Numerous collaborations with other artists, musicians and coders led to
a series of different pieces: pixelated background sets and character ani-
mations, digital and analog illustrations, 3D space craft models, story-
boards, screen-designs, concepts and graphics for real-time processed
animations (demoscene) and some rather abstract video clips.
I've never been limited to a certain concept, since there are so many things
worth expressing, no matter if it's part of a certain briefing, a common pro-
ject or my own. It's the challenge of communicating in a bewitching but also
comprehensible way. After completing a seven month internship in one of
Germany´s major animation studios: Cartoon-Film (Laura's Stern, Der
Kleine Eisbär), I finaly decided to focus on concept art and illustration. A
short while ago I graduated from art school (university of applied sciences)
and now I am here.
